Welcome to Alliance
Our mission at AUA is to provide High School Baseball Teams in North Texas with the finest officiating possible. Our Umpires spend countless hours in both the classroom and in field mechanics clinics, learning what it takes to become an Elite Official. Through our mentoring program, independant evaluations and positive feedback from Officiating Partners, our Umpires "Stay on top of their game."
New Members
The Alliance Umpires Association is actively seeking applicants for membership to begin officiating the sport of Baseball. There are no specific requirements for becoming a member of the AUA, other than an appreciation of the game of baseball, a desire to learn the officiating profession and an interest in helping youth of all ages. Prior experience as an umpire, while helpful, is not required. We provide training clinics for new members each year. The training starts in January just prior to the start of the high school season. New members are encouraged to attend all chapter meetings, and are also required to attend training classes in January. Members who participate in the training classes will be eligible to officiate sub-varsity high school games primarily. As new members gain experience, they will be assigned to high school varsity games at various levels. Umpires transferring from other chapters or states may be assigned high school varsity games depending on their level of experience and performance, as determined by the chapter's executive board.
